Terms of service
Effective date: 6 September 2026
1. What WebAccez is
WebAccez is a software-as-a-service product operated by veriflowlabs (“we”, “us”). It crawls websites you register, runs automated accessibility checks against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) on each page it finds, and presents the results as scores, issue lists, fix guidance, scheduled re-scans, alert emails, and downloadable reports. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organisation you act for.
2. Subscriptions, trial and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, by card through our payment processor. Plan features and limits (sites, pages per site, team members) are described on the pricing page and enforced by the service.
- New subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial. A valid card is required to start the trial; the first charge occurs when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further charges are made. Except where required by law, fees already paid are not refunded.
- We may change plan pricing or features with reasonable advance notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
3. Acceptable use
You may only submit for scanning websites that you own, operate, or are explicitly authorised to test. Scanning a third party’s website without permission is a breach of these terms and may be unlawful. You also agree not to:
- attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, or access controls;
- resell or provide the service to others except as your plan allows (for example, an agency plan used for client sites you are engaged to test);
- use the service to disrupt, overload, or probe systems you are not authorised to test;
- reverse engineer the service except where the law grants that right regardless of contract.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, with notice where practicable.
4. Scan results are not legal advice
WebAccez runs automated checks. Automated testing finds many, but not all, accessibility barriers, and no automated tool can determine full conformance with WCAG or with any law. Our scores, reports and fix guidance are informational tooling: they are not legal advice, and they are not a warranty, certification, or guarantee that a website complies with the European Accessibility Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, or any other law or standard. A clean scan does not mean a site is accessible or compliant, and you remain responsible for your own websites and legal obligations, including any manual testing or expert review they require.
5. Your content and our service
You retain all rights to your websites and their content. You grant us the limited rights needed to crawl the sites you register, store the resulting scan data, and display it back to you and the people you share it with. We retain all rights to the service itself, including its software, design, and the format of its reports.
6. Availability and changes
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work to keep it reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may improve or change features over time. We will not materially reduce the core functionality of a plan you have paid for during a period you have paid for.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data; and our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, and the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material we will notify account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
